For the third time, we were guests at the Biostation Haus Bürgel in the Urdenbacher Kämpe near Düsseldorf.
As in previous years, we met a highly engaged audience. In excellent weather conditions, the children were able to examine a genuine shark jaw. A comparison with the replica jaw of a false killer whale (*Pseudorca crassidens*) led to the conclusion: 450 million years of evolution have produced a masterpiece that the jaw of a marine mammal, with 50 million years of evolution, clearly does not come close to matching.
Correct recycling, our plastic collection, and the marine ecosystem with its diverse range of species: we observed great interest from the children, and the parents were also able to learn something new.
We will return in 2026, that is a promise.
