The heart of any volunteer-run association is its active members - those who fulfil the statutory purpose by living it. ElasmOcean is no different. A diverse group of dedicated marine conservationists who stand up for the association in their free time, sometimes outdoors, sometimes indoors, sometimes loud, sometimes quiet, sometimes in front of an audience, and sometimes all alone. But always: for ocean protection through knowledge.

Over the subsequent years, I have observed that such a lack of awareness regarding ecological issues is widespread. Consequently, educational outreach, particularly aimed at younger generations, is of significant value; children comprehend these concepts rapidly, which remains a motivating factor.
