On 21 September, many cities celebrated World Children's Day. Our teams were present in Cologne and Leverkusen.
Interest was high: in Leverkusen, young marine scientists were able to examine the jaw of a whale and several shark jaws, discovering the marine ecosystem and its fascinating inhabitants.
In Cologne, the focus was on education regarding marine plastic pollution and correct recycling practices.
By the end of the day, many children had gained exciting insights and new knowledge about marine conservation. The sooner children understand how valuable and vulnerable our oceans are, the better they can contribute to their protection.
