On 21 September, numerous cities celebrated World Children's Day. Our teams were present in Cologne and Leverkusen.
There was a high level of interest: in Leverkusen, young marine researchers were able to examine the jaw of a whale and several shark jaws, discovering the marine ecosystem and its diverse inhabitants.
In Cologne, the focus was on education regarding marine plastic pollution and correct recycling practices.
By the end of the day, many children had gained valuable insights and new knowledge about marine conservation. Understanding the value and vulnerability of the oceans at an early age is critical to enabling future generations to contribute effectively to their protection.
