Hot off the press for nurseries and primary schools, we are officially presenting our second children's story at boot 2024.
This time, the journey goes into the deep sea. This is where Lumi lives, a female deep-sea anglerfish. Lumi shares her deep-sea habitat with many other creatures. There is, for example, Rotti Ritter, the kitefin shark (Dalatias licha), or Wilhelm, the crown jellyfish, who is regularly at loggerheads with his relatives. Föderalis, the siphonophore, does not tolerate any nonsense when it comes to maintaining her colony and searching for food. The deep sea is also home to such fascinating creatures as Dumbo (a Cirrina octopus), Methusalem (a Greenland shark, Somniosus microcephalus) and Muckel (a goblin shark, Mitsukurina owstoni). They all share this habitat, which is threatened by human activity.
Lumi shows us her world, which is so different from ours: characterised by darkness and cold, and to this day an almost unexplored habitat that must be protected.
Once again, Ingo Wick has breathed life into the story with his delightful illustrations, bringing the deep-sea adventure to life.
The story will be available exclusively to nurseries and primary schools; we are not aiming for traditional bookshops. We are making a small exception at boot (20-28 January 2024): the booklet (as well as our "Albert and the SCUBA" story) will be available there in a limited run of 20 copies each in exchange for a donation of at least 20 euros. The donations will benefit our school and nursery programme.
