The "boot" 2025 was once again an engaging and productive event.

Supported by several permanent representatives and a rotating team of additional volunteers, we approached the nine-day exhibition with sustained commitment and energy—resulting in numerous constructive, highly relevant discussions and a gratifying volume of donations from our guests.

The 2025 event also saw visits from several notable figures, including Sabine Kerkau (Baltic Sea Heritage Project), Florian Weiss (television presenter), Angela Ziltener (Dolfin Watch Alliance), and Hannes Jaenicke (actor, environmental activist, and founder of the Pelorus Jack Foundation). Furthermore, our team was delighted to welcome Dr. Mara Schmiing, a member of our Scientific Advisory Board.

Long-standing partners and friends remain highly welcome, including Daniel Roesner (actor and environmental activist), Jan Kirchhof and Martin "Splity" Split (from the diving podcast "Deko-Zeit"), Anke and Marko Arlt (Meer-Tierchen), and Lukas Müller (marine biologist and shark specialist).

Our team and the ElasmOcean shark mascot were active throughout the diving exhibition halls, appearing alongside Michel (Michel's Imbärium-Cartoons), presenting the plastic debris tower, and participating on the stage and educational zones of the Love Your Ocean area. On behalf of the organisers, we accepted a donation for the citizens' initiative StopFinningEU and recorded a segment with Chris Weigand (from the "Helden der Meere" podcast).

We look forward to collaborating with you all again, at the latest at "boot" 2026. Ocean conservation through knowledge.
