The "boot" 2025 exhibition was a highly productive and successful event.
Supported by several permanent representatives and a rotating team of volunteers, we navigated the nine exhibition days with sustained commitment—engaging in numerous high-quality, substantive discussions and securing a highly encouraging volume of donations from our visitors.
The 2025 event again attracted prominent figures, including Sabine Kerkau (Baltic Sea Heritage Project), Florian Weiss (television presenter), Angela Ziltener (Dolfin Watch Alliance), and Hannes Jaenicke (actor, environmental activist, and founder of the Pelorus Jack Foundation). Our team was also delighted to welcome Dr Mara Schmiing, a member of our scientific advisory board.
Long-standing partners and friends in attendance included Daniel Roesner (actor and environmental activist), Jan Kirchhof and Martin "Splity" Split (from the diving podcast "Deko-Zeit"), Anke and Marko Arlt (Meer-Tierchen), and Lukas Müller (marine biologist and shark specialist).
Our representatives, accompanied by our ElasmOcean shark mascot, were active throughout the diving exhibition halls—including visits with Michel (Michel's Imbärium-Cartoons), presentations featuring the plastic waste tower, and contributions on the stage and educational zones of the Love Your Ocean area. On behalf of the campaign, we accepted a donation for the citizens' initiative StopFinningEU and conducted an interview with Chris Weigand (from the "Helden der Meere" podcast).
We look forward to collaborating with you all again—at the latest during "boot" 2026. Marine conservation through education.
