We have successfully passed the first follow-up audit after being awarded the donor seal by the Deutsches Zentralinstitut für soziale Fragen (DZI) in Berlin, and continue to hold the DZI donor seal. The audit showed that our programme work accounted for well over 80 % of all expenditures in the 2024 audit year. Consequently, only a "reasonable" proportion of approximately 16 % of our expenditure was allocated to advertising and administration - a lower figure is hardly feasible when maintaining a warehouse, operating a website, and paying for insurance, tax advisors, and a bank account. At this point: ElasmOcean pays no salaries, no allowances, and no travel expense reimbursements - our team operates at its own expense, ensuring that not a single euro of donations is directed towards these costs.
