As her Marine Megafauna Foundation officially announced today, she has been in an intensive care unit for several weeks following a stroke caused by a ruptured aneurysm. According to information from there, she is no longer in acute danger of losing her life.
Her team is continuing her research in Mozambique for the time being and, like all of us, hopes for a full recovery, which will certainly not happen quickly enough for Andrea in particular.
