Workshop "Predators in Our Oceans"

Together with the Stadtbücherei Esslingen, ElasmOcean invites participants on an educational exploration into the world of sharks. At various interactive stations, pupils in years 3 and 4 can engage in practical activities, examine scientific facts, and learn about the ecological role sharks play in maintaining healthy marine ecosystems. Why are sharks critical to our oceans? What makes these animals so unique, and what factors contribute to the threat of extinction facing numerous shark species today? Children will investigate these questions during this interactive workshop. The session will also address the anthropogenic threats shark populations face, alongside potential conservation strategies. Upon completion, participants can receive a 'Junior-Meeresschützer' certificate.
