There is a vast body of knowledge regarding sharks, distributed across scientific papers, databases and textbooks, often restricted by paywalls or only available in English. What is currently lacking is a central, German-language, curated source that translates research into accessible content – for schools, students and anyone seeking more in-depth information than Wikipedia provides.

ElasmoPedia is designed to fill this gap. A growing collection covering all known shark species, scientifically substantiated, editorially processed and freely accessible. Currently in development and supported by our scientific advisory board, the platform will be continuously updated and expanded.
