ElasmOcean has once again opened the doors of the Sharky Schwimmschule in Cologne-Lövenich to our marine centre, providing several dozen children with a special day.
It was great fun! The VR headsets featuring a real dive in Mozambique were particularly popular. Prior to this, the children had gained deeper knowledge of the ocean and learned about the threats it faces through several play and learning stations.
And then it was time to get into the water: in the pool, our Haidemarie (an artificial shark) was waiting alongside our diving instructors Jörn, Kim and Olaf for the young divers to begin a genuine introductory diving course. We noticed that some children, whom we already knew from the previous year, seemingly wanted to "try it out" multiple times. This suggests that they thoroughly enjoyed it.
A thoroughly successful day dedicated to the ocean.
