Number 100 - Responsibility.
On Friday, 26 November 2021, ElasmOcean e.V. was admitted as the 100th member of the Deutscher Naturschutzring (DNR). This umbrella organisation for German nature conservation, animal welfare, and environmental protection organisations unites all relevant groups, making it, among other things, a strong German representative within the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
We view this membership as a challenge and accept the responsibility. It is essential to advocate for marine conservation on the political stage and within decision-making bodies (national, regional, governmental, and non-governmental).
From today, "more protection through knowledge" is also a tenet within the DNR.
